Mercedes-AMG platforms
Mercedes-AMG engines and gearboxes we tune
AMG cars share a handful of engine families, and each one responds differently to calibration. These are the platforms we see most often around the GTA:
- 2.0 turbo four, 35 models: A35, CLA35 and GLA35 on the M260, plus the C300, GLC300 and E300 on the M264 and earlier M274.
- 2.0 turbo four, 45 models: A45, CLA45 and GLA45 on the M133, and the newer M139 in the 45 S cars.
- 3.0 biturbo V6 and 3.0 inline six: C43 (2016 to 2022), E43, GLC43, C450 and C400 on the M276 V6, and E53, GLE53 and CLS53 on the M256 inline six.
- 4.0 biturbo V8: C63 (2015 to 2021), E63, GLC63, GLE63, G63 and AMG GT on the M177 and M178. Older 5.5 biturbo M157 cars and the newer hybrid models are reviewed for your exact car before booking.
- Transmissions: 9G-Tronic automatics, the AMG Speedshift MCT in 63 models, and the 7- and 8-speed dual-clutch gearboxes in 45 cars.
Not on the list? Send us the year, model and engine. If the software can be calibrated safely, we will tell you what is possible and what it costs before anything is booked.
What Stage 1, Stage 2 and TCU mean on a Mercedes-AMG
Stage 1: software only
A software-only calibration for the car exactly as it sits. On AMG engines that means refined boost and timing targets, cleaner torque delivery in the mid-range and sharper throttle mapping, while the factory protections for knock, temperature and component limits stay in charge.
Stage 2: built around your parts
For cars that already carry supporting hardware, typically an upgraded intake, intercooler or downpipe. The calibration is built around the parts on the car and logged to confirm temperatures and fuelling. Hardware installs are by referral for now; we calibrate around them.
TCU: the gearbox to match
AMG gearboxes are tuned with comfort in mind from the factory. A TCU calibration raises torque limits to match the engine tune and gives quicker, more decisive shifts in Sport and Sport+ while keeping Comfort smooth for the commute.
Mercedes-AMG tuning prices

- Stage 2 with supporting hardware: from $1,299

Prices are in CAD and the final quote depends on your exact car, software and goal. Your original factory map is saved before anything is written, so you can always go back to stock.
Before you tune an AMG
Newer Mercedes engine computers are well protected, and some model years need an extra unlock step before they can be read. We check your exact car, model year and software first, and tell you before booking if it can be done in the driveway. A health scan comes first on every car: misfire counters, boost leaks and adaptation values tell us whether the engine is ready for more.
How a mobile Mercedes-AMG tune works
- Send your car (year, model, engine, current mods and goal) or call (416) 839-2266. We confirm support for your software and quote before booking.
- We come to your home, work or driveway with professional-grade tuning and diagnostic equipment. No drop-off, no waiting room.
- Health scan and live data first. If something needs fixing, you hear it before any calibration is written.
- Factory map saved, calibration written, then a data log to confirm the result, with clear notes on what changed.

FAQ: Mercedes-AMG tuning
Can you tune my AMG at my home?
Yes. We come to your home, work or driveway with professional-grade tuning and diagnostic equipment. There is no travel fee across Toronto, the GTA and Barrie.
Is my factory software saved?
Yes. The original factory map is read and saved before anything is written, so the car can go back to stock if you ever need it.
Do you tune the 9G-Tronic and Speedshift gearboxes?
Where the platform supports it, yes. TCU calibration starts from $999 on its own, or from $1,799 bundled with Stage 1.
Which AMG models are priced as performance cars?
AMG 35, 43, 45, 53 and 63 models are in the performance tier, from $1,499 for Stage 1. Non-AMG Mercedes-Benz turbo models start from $999. Your exact price depends on the car.
Will it be smooth enough to drive every day?
That is the goal. Calibrations keep the factory protections active and are logged to confirm the result, so the car stays an everyday car.
